The Role
As an Investments Research Intern, you will work beside researchers as we help drive our clients’ decision making in the selection, and monitoring of investment managers. The role will primarily be focused across credit (fixed income) asset classes, spanning both traditional bonds, alternative credit (high yield, loans, securitized credit, EMD) and private credit. We have one of the largest global manager research teams in the industry with over 90 researchers located across the major investment regions of the world and following one global, integrated research process
You will have exposure to numerous asset classes and client situations that will draw on your technical and analytical skills. You will work side-by-side with some of the industry’s top consultants while you develop cutting edge technical knowledge and skills and gain experience working with a variety of clients across industries through:
Working together on researching sub-asset classes within fixed income and new areas of exploration
Participating in meetings with investment managers, assisting in the monitoring of and analysis of strategies
Supporting researchers in the construction and delivery of presentations to clients
Following our professional excellence model including review and documentation of deliverables
Increasing efficiencies within client teams by identifying ways to improve processes and technology
Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
The Requirements
In the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (Junior standing preferred; Sophomore considered with other relevant internship experience)
Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills
Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client
Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
