As a Senior Financial Analyst
for the Region, you will:
Prepares and reviews monthly financial results for senior management. Analyzes profit and loss statements, prepares general analyses, and completes special projects.
Provides on-site profitability reviews at branches with the directors and AVPs to educate and make recommendations on financial improvements.
Provides presentations to senior and line management covering topics such as financial performance, improvements needed and changes in the Medicare payment system.
Acts as a liaison to field and corporate staff for the interpretation of financial data and processes, and to respond to questions/problems regarding financial statements and budgets. Performs research and analyses on profit and loss statements for field management.
Supervises the annual budget for all offices in the Region. Provides financial direction to branch/ regional management regarding budget preparation and conducts formal presentations as needed.
Prepares monthly financial management reports comparing current performance with year-to-date results and budget projections. Reviews/prepares monthly general closing entries, analyzes preliminary monthly performance and defines variances. Ensures that all Regional activity has been accurately presented.
Oversees quarterly industry analyses, monthly sales comparison analyses, annual sales, and expense forecasting for all Region operations.
Required Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or the equivalent.
A minimum of five years experience preparing/analyzing financial statements and related management reports and presentations, month-end closings, and annual budgets generally required.
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
Expert proficiency in Excel required.
Proficient in financial software programs including Hyperion, Monarch, etc.
Effective communication and presentation skills also required.
