Finance Administrator - Fixed term contract - Hybrid - Shannon, co.Clare
About this Role:
The purpose of the Finance Analyst is to work within the finance operations/middle
office team. The team looks after approx. 25 portfolios both residential and corporate. All cash
receipts, and outgoing payments are managed through finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Maintain financial information & records so that they are up to date, accurate and
accessible
Daily review of bank accounts
Identify discrepancies and inconsistencies in information
Process customer driven transactions, including refunds, journals, cash payments
Process customer settlements
Process write offs
Proactive management of unallocated/suspense cash items.
Liaising with the IT and Operations teams and external counterparts.
Provide administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office
operations including support for all Central Processing Unit (CPU) team associated
activities
Compliance through Risk management
Documentation Creation and Maintenance for all owned processes
Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to
Maintain accurate records for Audit Purposes
Ensure all tasks are conducted in a manner compliant with all policies, procedures,
legislative and regulatory requirements
Customer Service
Ensure that all internal and external relationships are maintained at high standards
whilst exhibiting a high level of customer service
Ensure queries identified and resolved without delay to ensure superior level of
customer service is delivered at all times and facilitate unnecessary payment delays
Proactive identification of opportunities to improve the banking and Central
Processing Unit functions
Key Performance Indicators
Accuracy and compliance of financial records
Regulatory Compliance
Accuracy of information and appropriate actions taken thereby mitigating or eliminating risk
and liability.
Customer Service surveys as well as everyday feedback received through internal and
external customers
Implementation of process improvements
Skills & Experience
Degree in business / finance or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years relevant experience in financial services.
Proficient in Excel.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
