Where you fit in
This position is responsible for China Lubricant marketing and sales purchasing.
Provide Global Commercial Marketing functions with CP professional support to deliver high quality CP services to deliver the result and achieve significantly value improvement.
Managing the execution of the complete Category Management & Contracting Process (CMCP) including Contract Strategy, Contract Management for GC Marketing, ICE and E-Commerce and OEM sales teams, and NBD team.
Category Scope – E-Commerce, Digital Marketing: Technology Solutions, Payment and loyalty, Promotions, Partnerships & Logistics.
Ensure all responsible procurement activities are implemented in line with company policies, processes and guidelines.
Continuously improve in operational excellence.
What's the role?
You will be accountable for the following:
Develop commercially competitive contracting & procurement strategies for GC Marketing and sales with focus on BTL which meets the Business Demand while considering potential implementation of Global Strategies at local/regional level.
Engage and align with key business stakeholders and Contracts Owners/Holders in all aspects of procurement decision, contract management and supplier management. Ensure local business needs are met and ensure all commercial activities are fully aligned with the Global strategies.
Proactively identify & understand commercial/procurement needs from internal stakeholders and collaboratively propose competitive solutions.
Adapt Global Category Strategy and Agreements in cluster level. Work with SBI to ensure all related procurement follow the global policies.
Through effective and collaborative Supplier Relationship Management, ensure a competitive supplier landscape which fosters continuous performance improvements in key metrics (HSSE, Operational and Cost) and delivers on Shell Sustainable Development targets.
Build and maintain strong network in the market, being fully aware of supplier developments and opportunities coming up in the market.
Lead the OEM KAS contract negotiation. Support business to enhance the business continuity by working with reliable and value for money service provider.
Conduct tenders, evaluate bids & drive negotiations with suppliers.
Internal (Shell) & External (Suppliers) Stakeholders in ensuring delivery of maximum value via each of the awarded contract/commercial deal.
Ensure contract strategy supports Goal Zero Aspiration through implementation of robust Contractor Safety Management practices and alignment to Shell personal and process safety Goal Zero target.
Implementation of Contractor HSSE practices in close liaison with Contract Owners/Holders.
Ensure strong connect across the wider CP Organization (Eg: Downstream, Retail, Upstream) to ensure continuous cross sharing and leverage of best practices.
Manage once-off Purchase Orders.
Consistently drive operational excellence, reduce/rationalize number of Contracts/Suppliers.
Lead specific projects as assigned by Procurement Manager, Senior Procurement Manager.
Provide support for Non lube supplier’s price negotiation and contracting strategy development.
Drive sustainability and maximize the opportunities within categories.
What we need from you?
[Qualification & Delivery]
A degree level (Business/Finance) and/or proven long term comprehensive experience within CP.
Proven track record of execution excellence & delivering results.
MCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) Qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of SAP Ariba would be an asset but not mandatory.
Fluent English (written & oral)

Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals.
Proven experience in contract negotiations & complex tender evaluation and category management.
Good understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation and commercial issues.
Good understanding of Shell lubricants business model.

Responsible for updating reporting tools (e.g. Ariba)
