Position Summary
The Escrow Processor manages Escrow checks and letters printed on-site at RoundPoint offices and ensures delivery via appropriate means. The Processor maintains the quality of all Tax, Insurance Claim, and Escrow Analysis disbursements. The Processor ensures accuracy of loan servicing data and drives the customer (borrower, client, payee and internal customer) experience by completing timely and accurate disbursements. The Processor communicates with tax authorities and researches tax requests received via internal and external sources.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain disciplined attendance record to ensure fulfillment of essential check functions
Sort and match tax payments with appropriate backup(s)
Ensure Escrow disbursements are sent via tracked mail or overnighted as needed
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of tax payments
Open and distribute mail on a daily basis
Process disbursements on or before the renewal/due/penalty date
Identify and resolve tax and escrow exceptions
Prepare exception reports and resolve exception items
Research and resolve tax issues
Maintain payee headers
Perform all duties in accordance with RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing policies and procedures, investor requirements, and all state and federal regulations
Display professional customer service skills; create an acceptable level of customer satisfaction.
Work with vendors to monitor escrow and non-escrow loans
Complete special and seasonal projects such as year-end reporting or acquisitions
Perform other duties as requested by Escrow & Special Loans management
Incumbent will be responsible for meeting RoundPoint’s commitment to compliance
Qualifications
Required:
Experience in a check matching/processing role
Strong organizational skills; detail- and accuracy-oriented
Strong oral and written communication skills
Problem-solving skills, identify issues and concerns and participate in solutions
Ability to set and maintain a pace to ensure all checks are mailed same-day while maintaining other responsibilities (strong multitasking skills required)
Ability to quickly identify missing information and obtain it from relevant sources
Experience communicating with tax authorities
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
Adaptability to process and people changes
Able to understand and prioritize tasks according to urgency
Able to work in a team environment
Desired:
Bachelor’s degree
Mortgage servicing application knowledge, preferably with BKFS MSP
Thorough knowledge of federal, state regulations and investor requirements related to escrow administration
1-3 years of mortgage servicing experience
Accounting and math skills
Ability to create and analyze portfolio data reports for management
Professionalism and ability to interface with upper management

Ad hoc reporting and trend analysis skills
