ROLE TITLE: RISK ANALYST - FINANCIAL RISK

 

LOCATION: DUBLIN 2 (SUBJECT TO CHANGE) WITH HYBRID WORKING (CURRENTLY WORKING REMOTELY)

 

 

THIS ROLE IS BEING OFFERED ON AFULL-TIME, PERMANENT basis.

 

Are you an experienced risk analyst who is seeking to progress in their career?

Are you interested in a risk oversight role with a strong focus on market risk activities? The successful candidate with work closely with the Head of Financial Risk and key business stakeholders.

 

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

*Will support the risk oversight of a key subsidiary through risk identification, measurement & management with a particular focus on market and equity risk.  *Can engage constructively with stakeholders to manage a variety of risk processes including risk appetite, stress testing, risk reporting & Policy reviews. *Will review daily and monthly risk reports and monitor against limits. *Will evaluate market/equity risk issues by analysing them in depth, ensuring adequate consideration of risk and by communicating findings in a concise manner to senior management. *Will advise the Head of Financial Risk on the appropriateness of positions, processes & risk strategy. *Will periodically contribute to ad-hoc analysis carried out by the team or be involved in larger deep dive projects. *Will instil a risk awareness within Business Areas through on-going engagement and discussion of risk processes. *Can represent the risk function at various Risk governance committees. Providing clear and comprehensive documentation in support of risk-related issues. *Challenges existing ways of doing things to improve and develop risk processes. *Actively seeks opportunities to learn from other team members and to grow within the role.

Risk is a second line of defence function that monitors, controls and supports all risk-taking activities across AIB.  Within Risk, Financial Risk is responsible for providing assurance to senior management on Market Risk, Funding & Liquidity Risk, Pension & Equity Risk and for validating financial risk measurement and valuation models.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE SOMETHING THAT YOU WANT TO BE PART OF?

 

YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW US THAT YOU HAVE:

*Relevant third level or postgraduate qualification in a finance or analytical discipline. *At least 3 years' experience within the Financial Services industry in a risk analysis role or second line environment, with a focus on market and equity risk. *Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to produce and present high quality reports essential. *An ability to work both independently and collaboratively. *Strong technical knowledge of treasury products, risk measurement, financial markets and market risk concepts and a proven track record in demonstrating an analytical approach to problem solving. *A focus on growth and improvement combined with a desire to learn, share and contribute.
