As part of our Enterprise Analytics team, this role will function as the primary liaison between the customer and IT. This individual will work as part of a collaborative team to develop BI solutions that can be leveraged by CCHS. The ability to develop broad based solutions that can be leveraged by the organization as a whole is required. The role requires an ability to take many complex inputs (both clinical and administrative) and work them into solutions that help customers understand the complexity.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish and maintain an open dialogue with customers regarding data requests, training needs, and general advice/suggestions regarding Enterprise Information Management and analytics at CCHS.
Utilize business knowledge to identify areas of systems improvement in order to lead to systems improvements when implemented.
Provide continuous technical support for customers. Collaborate with analysts across Christiana Care to improve the analytical functions for at all departments/service-lines.
Develop and document system design specifics in a Solution-in-Detail to assure understanding and to gain agreement by user of specific system inputs, outputs and costs. Produce and apply test plans to verify requirements and design specifications. Conduct walk-throughs and develop specifications in sufficient detail to ensure maximum system compliance with customer needs.
Utilize technical support from DBAs, Data Architects, BI Developers, and ETL Developers and in specifications.
Provide support to assigned systems or general services. Ensure proper on-call support
Maintain effective user relationships in order to provide a climate receptive to systems improvement and to enhance understanding of the users business concerns.
Participate on user project teams, audit installed systems for conformance to objectives and make applicable changes, conduct additional training, and clarify procedures to assure full user satisfaction.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration. Graduate work in Business Administration is desirable.
Experience delivering information management solutions in a hospital or healthcare environment.
Knowledge of health informatics, hospital and patient accounting, inventory control, patient management and laboratory procedures is highly desirable.
Experience with Online Analytic Processing (OLAP) technology, dimensional modeling concepts and construction and use of data cubes.
Experience with Business Intelligence concepts such as dashboards and key performance indicators.
Experience or strong knowledge with Microstrategy tool is a big plus.
Experience with source control tools and their utilization in a team oriented development environment.
Up-to-date knowledge of computer, telecommunication, and other information technology tools.
Knowledge of system design techniques.
Knowledge of SQL and/or similar relational database languages
Experience building positive customer relationships
