Responsibilities
Humana is recruiting for a Financial Professional 1 to join our growing Retail Services Operations Finance team. Successful candidates will be primarily responsible for executing the Monthly Accounting and Reporting cycle, as well as invoice reconciliation for Call Vendor relationships. Additionally, the candidate will support monthly expense forecasting and ad hoc analysis, requiring direct interaction with internal operational partners, as well as external vendor partners, to achieve the organization's goals.
Essential functions:
Perform monthly accounting duties
o Review general ledger expense accounts to determine appropriate journal entries, as well as Humana associate reporting to ensure accurate cost center designation
o Reconcile all Outside Services accounts
Validate vendor invoices
o Audit invoices to ensure rates and thresholds conform to current contract, while communicating any discrepancies to operational partners
o Work closely with Vendor Managers to align on overtime approvals and ancillary spend
o Utilize financial insight and experience to communicate opportunities and concerns to relevant business partners
Assist with Monthly Forecast/Annual Budget for administrative expense
o Align with administrative departments on FTE expectations and related expense
o Align with operational partners on their near-term staffing models
o Submit data into corporate Forecast tools
Facilitate vendor invoice processing
o Proactively monitor purchase order funds availability and invoice submission
o Estimate future vendor spend and request additional purchase orders to ensure timely invoice submission and payment
o Provide purchase order submission guidance to vendors
Create and support various monthly financial reporting decks
Establish, foster, and maintain excellent working relationships with peers and management within Finance and Retail Contact Centers.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
1-3 years of experience with financial analysis (this could also include relevant internships)
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Power Point and Excel (pivot tables, v-look ups, formulas, table joins, , etc)
Strong written and oral communication to effectively discuss financial data and related analysis.
Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Strong organization skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with financial modeling and reports
Additional Information:
This role will be temporarily WAH until Humana is able to re-enter the downtown Louisville, Humana Tower office. At that time, the expectation is that this will be a full time, in-office position.
