Job Description:
We create energy for the future
Shell is transitioning to become a net-zero emissions energy company by 2050. Our objective in Norway is to supply Europe with necessary energy while reducing emissions. We will produce gas in the safest, cleanest, and most efficient way possible. We will use our expertise from the Norwegian continental shelf to increase capacity in carbon capture and storage. And we will create new opportunities in renewable and cleaner energy solutions, such as hydrogen, offshore wind, and biofuels. We are working towards a future where renewables are as important as the large volumes of natural gas we export to Europe today.
With some 430 employees in Norway we are part of the global Shell organisation. Most of us work in cross-functional teams with focus on cooperating closely through agile ways of working and embracing digital tools to boost and free up time for value creation. We care about each other and always put health and safety first.
We are currently recruiting an entry-level Finance Analyst to help us reach our strategic ambitions.
Key accountabilities
The analyst will contribute towards the operated and/or non-operated activities in A/S Norske Shell’s portfolio.
As Operator and Technical Service Provider, A/S Norske Shell manages a considerable exposure of costs and contracts on behalf of other joint venture participants. The analyst role is expected to manage that exposure to the best of interests of Shell and its partners.
Ability to build effective internal working relationships to ensure alignment on issues affecting project/asset deliverables towards which the analyst is assigned.
Manage performance through providing insights into past, current, and expected future performance.
Embrace, adapt and actively contribute to implement the agile, digital and multiskilling transformation of Norske Shell.
What we are looking for
Relevant Master’s degree within Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar.
Work experience may be considered if relevant.
Delivery focused. Self-starter with good communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, and with the ability to zoom in and out for each opportunity and the ability to understand and explain a credible value story.
Can collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders across businesses and disciplines, and gain confidence from others through authenticity and ability to speak up and challenge where appropriate.
Interest in leveraging digital solutions to effectively analyse and visualize data, and to improve processes.
Open-minded and curiously looking for opportunities to grow the business and develop own competence through multiskilling, as well as identify and develop innovative solutions.
What we offer
Influential and exciting position in an agile energy company, and the opportunity to make an impact.
Inspiring, caring, diverse, and inclusive working environment: At Shell, our aim is for everyone to feel accepted and valued for who they are.
Professional development opportunities, and a focus on personal improvement.
Flexibility: We strive to give our employees the flexibility they need to balance work and personal life in a good way.
