**Providence is calling a Insurance Specialist - Finance (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Office Park Portland in Portland, OR**
Shift: Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm (flexible)

We are seeking a Insurance Specialist - Finance that will act as a centralized insurance expert for all facets of the Providence organization, including executive leadership, directors from all departments, and clinic staff. While maintaining a high level of insurance industry knowledge, will monitor payor websites and the market for changes that affect billing, coding, and reimbursement.
**In this position you will have the following responsibilities:**
Act as a resource for all PMG leadership, departments, and staff regarding general payor reimbursement policies
Monitor payor websites, One Health Port, and other communications from payors specific to forthcoming changes related to billing, coding or reimbursement in general
Analyze and disseminate communications to appropriate departments
Maintain and update list of contracted insurance carriers and employers
Filter information received from registration staff to determine necessary updates to such list
Monitor department performance data and registration errors/issues; use such information to isolate clinics needing assistance with the registration process
Maintain high level of industry knowledge of insurance benefits: Commercial insurance, Traditional Medicaid/Medicare, HMO's, Oregon Health Plan, and Regional CCO's and ACO's
**Qualifications:**
**Required qualifications for this position includes:**
Bachelor's Degree
Three (3) years of Work experience in Health Care Industry or related field required. Physician Office; Revenue Cycle; Physician or Hospital Billing; Health Insurance; Outpatient ambulatory
**Preferred qualifications for this position include:**
Master's Degree
