Job Summary & Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Java developer who will focus on server environment. The person who fills the role will help design and implement new functionality, and to improve the performance and reliability of the system via a combination of making enhancements to existing components or re-writing pieces of the system. A key part of the role will be to analyze and make recommendations for the ideal architecture to support our growing list of functionality.
Basic Qualifications
3 years of total experience
3 years of Java experience
Experience writing server code in Java in a UNIX environment
Experience writing n-tier apps requiring high volume and low latency
Experience writing code in a multithreaded environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Distributed middleware/messaging experience a plus (e.g. Rendezvous, Corba, Ice, others)
C experience a plus
Java Swing experience a plus
Experience writing C# Winforms code a plus
Object-oriented design and development experience a plus
Relational database experience preferably Sybase a plus
Perl or shell scripting experience a plus
Strong communication skills as developers interact directly with users to get requirements and provide support
Financial industry experience a plus
