The Role
As a Pharmacy Benefits Financial Analyst, you will work beside some of the industry’s top consultants while you progress toward becoming a thought leader of the future.
You will have immediate exposure to real client assignments which will draw on your imagination and creativity as well as your ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and present results. These experiences will help build your technical knowledge and overall industry expertise.
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
• Partner with consultants and team members to perform financial analyses including cost savings and data analysis projections, review and update of pricing and other analytical models
• Develop value propositions and other related documents for client prospects including pharmacy contracts
• Analyze and compare vendor products, services and contracts
• Design, distribute and evaluate responses to RFPs
• Support the pharmacy practice on intellectual capital initiatives such as development of new financial models or tools as applicable
• Assist with the preparation and presentation of select client deliverables
Requirements
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, public health, health management or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
• Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred but not required
• Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills (analyst type of internship preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and team skills
• Self-starter attitude and ability to work with ambiguity
• Flexibility and aptitude to diagnose and resolve issues
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
