The ideal candidate will have 3 years accounting experience in a leadership role, has worked in a 400 room size hotel, well rounded in all areas within hotel accounting, and passionate about growing their career! The Assistant Director of Finance (ADOF) will support activities performed by Director of Finance (DOF), to include, but not limited to, commercial support to internal and external stakeholders, owner relations, and financial planning and analysis activities for an individual hotel. The ADOF will act as a delegate when DOF is absent. The ADOF will be primarily responsible for maintaining and ensuring operations control and compliance activities.Primary responsibilities: nAssist the DOF as required and advise department heads with the interpretation and analysis of financial data, recommending courses of action to maximize hotel profitability.nAssist in directing and administering all financial operations of the hotel to include, but not limited to, asset protection, financial reporting, systems management, hotel-wide budget and forecasting, team management, and meeting participation and facilitationnMonitor and approve purchases (Birchstreet), salaries and expenses of the hotel. Demonstrate understanding of Management Agreement and related fee implications.nAssist with preparation and review of budgets and forecasts/projections as required (Annual, Revised Annual, Monthly, and/or on Corporate/Owner’s requests).nOversee all Labor Management System (LMS) functions and analytics. Collaborate with property leadership team and Director of Performance Analytics (if applicable), to conduct weekly labor meetings and drive desired results.nAssist with coordination and review accuracy of monthly financial statements to team heads, hotel management, corporate office, and owners, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Uniform System of Accounts and Hilton guidelines.nCoordinate with shared services center and third-party service providers (outsourcing provider, auditors, state and local tax authorities, banks) to ensure all necessary information is compiled, reviewed, and approved.nMonitor and maintain adequate internal control over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities of the hotel (customer billing, paycheck distribution, payroll and bank audits, and contract review and compliance, etc.) in accordance with Hilton Global Policy Initiatives.nInteract with internal audit on findings from audit reviews and oversee resolution of findings.nOversee and supervise on property Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Accounting functions, ensuring synergy with SSC and outsourced vendor. nReview and approve tax returns to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.nManage the team to include, but not limited to, special projects, team training and development, performance, and evaluations.nManage access to financial systems for individuals being on/off boarded nSupport and foster an environment receptive of change in response to corporate initiatives and special projects.nPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned or requirednAct in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations on property and follow the correct procedures when required. nRequirementsWhat are we looking for?Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
