SUMMARY
Performs duties associated with the buying process for PVC compounding manufacturing facility to ensure companies operational needs are met.
Procurement Functions
· Monitors ERP system to maintain inventory levels and communicate availability.
· Expedite purchase orders as needed, resolve supplier issues, identify/escalate issues to management.
· Ensure that Company inventories, raw materials, and packaging are maintained at appropriate levels.
· Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation.
· Maintain and distribute daily a tracking system to monitor product orders, receipts, and inventory levels.
· Communicate daily with Production, Research & Development (R&D), Quality, Management and Logistic on supply chain related topics.
· Monitors activity of 3rd party warehouse.
· Track supplier performance.
· Studies market trends, interviews vendors, and recommends sources of supply.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Proficiency with ERP Systems, Microsoft Excel Spread sheets and other Microsoft Office 365 Applications.
· Must be detailed oriented, accurate and organized.
· Proficient in time management with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to implement Digital Transformation Strategies.
Associates Degree in Business Management, Accounting or Finance preferred. Minimum of two years purchasing, materials management, or related experience required. Experience in a manufacturing ISO9000 and/or QS9000 industry is preferred.
