Accounting Manager IAon is looking to add an Accounting Manager to our Captive & Insurance Management team in our Charleston, SC office! Do you enjoy providing solutions, interacting across various departments and a global organization? If this sounds appealing, this may be the next step in your career! This opportunity provides full ownership to managing our services for a portfolio of captive insurance companies and includes but is not limited to accounting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, governance and strategic reporting. You will have frequent interactions with executives and personnel from various client departments and other service providers This role has an opportunity to mentor other peers in order to ensure the companies remain in compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements. This position will report into the Charleston, SC office. We are providing options to work in office, hybrid or remote work arrangement. Preference for candidate to be in the Eastern or Central time zone.We can provideAn opportunity to grow & develop your skillsAn invigorating and ambitious work environmentExposure working with a variety of companies and industries, including Fortune 500 companies and not for profitsContinuing education & trainingA great opportunity to work with a diverse and fun teamWhat you will be involved inContribute to all aspects of the financial reporting for client accounts and serving as a contact for individuals from various departments, such as risk management, corporate controllership, tax, legal, etc.Ensure quality and timeliness of financial reporting and regulatory filingsMentor and develop accounting team membersCoordinate efforts with outside service providers, including actuaries, auditors, investment managers, brokers, claims adjusters and outside counsel to proactively meet client needsCommunicate and implement business plan changes with State regulatorsPrepare and present materials during client board meetingsWhat skills and qualifications we are looking for?Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting/finance rolesAccounting degree, CPA or insurance designation(s) preferredOrganized and able to multi-task with ability to effectively re-prioritize tasks as neededConsistent track record to increase efficiency and improve methods and approachesProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteEffective communicator, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.Detail oriented and ability to understand and drive big picture recommendationsContribute to a collaborative, innovative and forward-thinking office environmentWhat experience or characteristics make a candidate stand out?Curiosity and a desire to learn and growPrior experience with captive managementExperience effectively handling sophisticated projectsEagerness to tackle substantial problems and share solutionsA growth mentality and willingness to feedback and coaching We offer youA competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.The salary range for this position is 65,000-85,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
