Job Description:

Shell is looking for candidates that are passionate about customers and have a track record of integrating and coordinating complex, multi-product, multi-business customer relationships and/or projects.

We are seeking candidates for the role of Regional Key Accounts Integration Manager, Renewables & Energy Solutions (RKA-I Manager). They will be part of a dynamic and collaborative Renewable & Energy Solutions Regional Key Accounts team supporting ambitious customer growth, at pace with societal energy transition.

The Regional Key Accounts Integration Manager, Renewables & Energy Solutions reports into Shell Energy Americas and works in partnership with Shell Renewables and Energy Solutions Americas. Together, these businesses are at the heart of Shell’s growth ambitions in power, renewables and energy products and solutions, across generation; gas, power and environmental products trading; and B2B and B2C customers.

What is the role

The role focuses on integrating high value customer development, from early-stage coordination of local-global RFIs and RFPs to offer consolidation, to program or campaign implementation/execution to establishing and facilitating strategic customer performance reviews.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop competitive RFI (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for Proposals) based on customer needs and sustainable commercial goals and targets.
Work as part of a cohesive Regional Key Account team to support shaping and marketing commercially suitable bundled energy solutions as part of customer offers.
Understand and manage contracts and legal responsibilities associated with the deals.
Analyze and explain financial aspects of the deals presented.
Support management of complex customer relationships with key accounts and ensure KPI (Key Performance Indicators) metrics are tracked with emphasis on insights and follow-up actions.
Develop and deploy customer campaigns and programs via collaboration with customer counterparts.
Promote continuous improvement agenda, working with commercial and functional colleagues to enhance customer integration approach and promote through network
Establish a structured method for managing RKA’s pipeline. Drive progress and focus by leading pipeline reviews, including reconciling account priorities and deliverability. Surface and address potential conflicts and recommend changes, including delisting, deferral or upgrade.
Make relevant teams outside of RKA aware of RKA’s pipeline and—where relevant—plan for RKA’s upcoming support needs as the pipeline progresses (including functional support: legal, finance, contracts, structuring, etc.)
Develop an analytical framework for evaluating opportunity value. Apply this framework to items in the pipeline to determine the size of the opportunity.
Establish KPIs that will drive RKA’s stated commercial outcomes. Measure, track, manage and communicate KPI progress. Develop and execute a regular reporting system. Recommend and implement suggested improvements where KPIs are not met.
Establish and deliver a stakeholder management change and engage plan, including ensuring that KPIs, prioritization criteria, account value methodology, and related items are well-understood. Jointly develop the above with relevant stakeholders and establish a shared sense of ownership of resulting metrics and prioritization criteria.
Lead large and cross-business projects as they arise, utilizing continuous improvement, project management, and change management to deliver optimal business outcomes and to ensure business changes are sustained and embedded. This will require understanding of the End-to-End value chain impacts and proactive collaboration across Shell businesses where appropriate to ensure maximum value is captured.
Synthesize complex and diverse information, collect and research data, use statistics, intuition and experience to complement data to eliminate problems at inception
Deliver iterative and transformational business performance improvements.
By 2025, Regional Key Accounts will deliver a business moving from start-up phase to a business with billion-dollarrevenues per annum
By 2025, RKA-I Managerson average will support a portfolio that will exceed hundreds of millions per annum.
Support demand forecasting to ensure that renewables supply and resources are in place tosupport product and solution delivery
Advocate customer needs/issues cross-departmentally and act as a voice of the customer across the organization.


What we need from you


Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Math or an equivalent degree.
Minimum 8 years of experience managing complex customers, ideally within the power or renewable energy sectors.
Some travel is required, typically less than 15%.
Ability to successfully facilitate workshops and meetings, present and communicate clearly, concisely and effectively.
Strong presentation creation and delivery skills
The successful candidate can be located in San Diego, San Francisco or Boston.


The candidate will utilize knowledge of trading, operations, sales and origination, marketing, complex portfolio and project management, value chain understanding, risk management to develop effective customer proposals, campaigns and execution programs. Additionally, the candidate will have:


Commercial acumen and understanding of Trading & Supply and Energy value drivers.
Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders, internally and externally.
Ability to successfully facilitate workshops and meetings, present and communicate clearly, concisely and effectively.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Proven track record of delivering complex projects
Continuous Improvement mindset essential
Problem solving and root cause analysis skills, with ability to communicate insights and relevant actions
