An exciting opportunity to grow and influence Medtronic's Medical-Surgical (MS) Operating Units (OU) as the ANZ Business Finance Lead for Surgical Innovation and Surgical Robotics. The MS Portfolio is the largest of the 4 portfolios in ANZ, comprising Surgical Innovations (SI), the largest Operating Unit at Medtronic ANZ and Surgical Robotics (SR), the newest Operating Unit with cutting-edge technology, transform healthcare.
In this role, you will partner with Operating Unit Leaders to ensure strategic/commercial plans are developed and successfully executed, including strategic planning, forecasting, decision support and execution.
As Business Finance Lead, you will play an integral role being part of Operating Unit (OU) business leadership teams and representing ANZ with Global OUs and Finance leaders. The position will report to the ANZ MS Portfolio Finance Leader and be second in charge.
**A Day in the Life**
Partner with OU leaders to ensure strategic & commercial plans are developed and successfully executed across the operating units (SI & SR)
Partner with OU Leaders and Sales and Marketing Leaders to provide appropriate forecasts and plans are maintained and up-to-date
Lead and collaborate with key stakeholders to manage the activities required for Integrated Business Planning & forecasting
Liaise with Global OU Finance leads to ensure strategy, plans and forecasts are aligned with Global OU strategy and expectations
Lead commercial decision support, business KPI reporting and opportunity analysis
Partner with Strategic Accounts and Pricing Teams to ensure commercial opportunities are fully developed and executed
Support continuous improvement projects across finance and business
Champion collaboration across Business Finance and play a leading role in the ANZ Finance team development
**Must-Have:**
Several jurisdictions across Australia have established mandatory requirements for healthcare workers and others working in health care settings to be vaccinated with at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. To be eligible to apply and be considered for this role, Medtronic Australasia requires candidates to meet the conditions of the relevant and current Government directions (including Public Health Orders). The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of vaccination before an appointment.
University Degree qualification
CA or CPA qualification
7-12 years relevant business/finance experience in a multinational company
Proven track record of Partnering with Business Leadership to deliver results
Experience leading & developing business finance teams & processes
Project leadership and successful execution
Solid knowledge & experience of business planning systems & processes
**Nice to Have**
MBA or Professional Finance Qualification
Healthcare or other relevant industry experience
