Architect, Software Development
EVO is seeking an experienced Software Development Architect to design and build our next-generation boarding platform. This role is responsible for understanding the legacy platform and products, with an eye toward building out a new experience from the ground up. The candidate must be an energetic self-starter and maintain the dynamic pace of the EVO Application Development environment.
About You:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and/or previous related work experience.
8 years of experience developing Visual Studio (specifically with C# and the .Net framework)
Strong knowledge and experience developing complex T-SQL queries with MS SQL Server relational databases, to include stored procedure development, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Experience developing web UIs using a Microsoft stack, C#, Angular, .Net CORE
Experience developing APIs with web services, and JSON structured data
Expertise building and deploying microservices, understanding the benefits and challenges
Proficiency in Microsoft development and server environments, including Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server.
Familiarity with frameworks such as Entity Framework, Angular and Bootstrap are a must
Comfortable in the Agile methodology
Ability to see the application not just as a developer but also from the perspective of a user.
Strong sense of ownership
Effective communications and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work independently, but with a team focus.
Knowledge of standard software development concepts, practices, and procedures.
Ability to establish priorities, work collaboratively and meet objectives.
Payment or financial industry experience is a plus
What You'll Do
Responsible for the overall technical design of a new, full stack platform
Act as architectural lead on the project, ensuring compatibility and consistency between components
Work with the development team to build dynamic browser-based user interfaces for web applications with Microsoft .Net CORE, C#, and Angular
Implement API and data access using .NET, EntityFramework, SQL Server stored procedures, and other technologies with a solid understanding of database design
Work with the software development team to analyze business requirements and create specifications for business systems
Uncover issues and brainstorm potential solutions with team members
Map functionality and data from legacy systems to their upgraded counterparts
Document approaches and present flows to technical and non-technical audiences
Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, tables, and views
Troubleshoot frontend and backend system issues
Write clear and useful technical documentation
Work with one or more Agile Scrum teams
Assist in ongoing troubleshooting, maintenance and production support of existing application programs.
Perform unit testing and debug programs.
Keep up with new technologies as applicable to sustain EVO's competitiveness
