Segment, a division of Twilio, is growing rapidly and seeking a Strategic Deal Senior Manager to be a key thought leader and contributor in support of securing globally identified new logos and the expansion of existing strategic Enterprise accounts. Reporting to the Director, Worldwide Deal Desk, this position is a critical partner to the Sales organization to optimize deal execution for complex Enterprise accounts.
The scope of the role includes understanding the rationale, and interpreting the impact of the customer requests, while continually applying sound business acumen to ensure optimal, predictable and scalable solution outcomes. This can include innovative pricing, aligning to product roadmap commitments, and to maintain operational integrity in the quote to cash cycle.
In short, this role acts as an integral lever to accelerate revenue growth and penetrate new markets and marquee accounts. It touches nearly every part of our business and is a critical part of our customer experience.
Who?
The ideal candidate will be a leader who lives
the Twilio Magic
and has a demonstrated track record of leading complex strategic deal execution. They also have:
8 years of deal execution, project management and pricing experience in technology, telecom or consulting firm
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Finance/Economics/Statistics)
SaaS business knowledge
Ability to interpret, model, solutionize and articulate deviations to standard operating practises and models
Ability to interpret and present the risk / reward evaluation for strategic deal opportunities to accelerate business decisions and deal execution
Contribute to the seamless deployment of new programs, go-to-market initiates and offerings
Strong analytical skills - expert in statistical analysis & financial modeling.
Decisive - Uses a framework and process by which to make decisions, sometimes with incomplete data, throughout the organization
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to persuade, communicate vision and motivate people at every level, cooperative working style.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

BE AN OWNER & BE BOLD: Lead and manage the Deal Review Board operating framework, empowering business decision making, with clarity on the impact of new business and operational solutions and how to translate those decisions into scalable repeatable business

WEAR THE CUSTOMER'S SHOES: Seek deep understanding of your target users and are adept at understanding their problems and driving solutions
