About the job
This position is needed to define and execute the vision for our Value Engineering team to become a world class program supporting the next phases of Twilio Segment’s growth. As part of the Twilio Segment presales organization, you will be working closely with Twilio and Segment executives to integrate Value Engineering across our business.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Define and evolve our Value Engineering program charter and team to help Twilio Segment achieve aggressive company growth targets
Manage existing team of Value Engineers and hire additional top tier talent into the organization to grow in alignment with sales
Partner with Twilio Segment leadership from sales, enablement, customer success, marketing, product management and more to maximize Value Engineering adoption and impact
Lead strategic customer engagements to identify, articulate and quantify the business rationale for making significant financial investment in Twilio Segment and CDP projects
Coach and develop skill sets of individuals on team to maximize field effectiveness
Set and track team and program success metrics

Required:
8 years of business value related experience
3 years experience in value program or relevant leadership roles
Strong executive presence and presentation skills, comfortable collaborating with and presenting to C-suite executives (CIO, CMO, CFO, board-level)
Thrive in working collaboratively and cross-functionally, particularly with Sales, Customer Success, Solution Engineering and other key partners
Self-starter comfortable initiating and leading x-functional programs within a fast-paced environment
Deep quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills, with proven business insight and judgment
Experienced in software selling and working closely to execute sales process and methodologies (MEDDIC, Command of the Message, etc)
Bachelors Degree in a financial, equivalent work experience or MBA from a top tier program preferred
Desired:
Experience supporting marketing, product and engineering executives focused selling motions
Expertise in Customer Data Platforms, Data Engineering, and Marketing best practices
Experience leading SaaS customer/client engagements
Location
This role will be based in our New York, San Francisco, Denver, or one of our other remote office locations. Approximately 25% travel is anticipated

Sales Commission: Additionally, this role is eligible to earn commissions and eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
