T&S trading commodities will remain a key enabler of part of the RDS strategy to transition and invest in cleaner energies.

During the frontline operations executing these trades, our commercial teams engage regularly with Port Agents, who act as our eyes and ears in every location we trade to or from around the world. The agent’s role is critical to support these activities.

As part of Global Freight Operations, Port Agency is a small team set in UK and Manila who work closely to ensure T&S Operations stakeholders across each of the Crude, Products, LNG and Shipping & Maritime businesses, have access to a strong network of port agents globally.

The team are responsible for managing three Hub Agency contracts to supply port agency services - and manage the financial activities associated with around 12000 port calls a year with an annual spend of $600m , in a cost effective, accurate and timely manner.

Operationally critical to deliver no associated delay to our operations, other important aspects for the team to deliver include a strong adherence to compliance frameworks, optimisation of cash flow and growing support on the communications of port information and data to the business.

What’s the role?

This is a mid-shift, individual contributor role in the Manila team covering approximately one third of the geographic scope overall and will be responsible as follows:


Executing the financial and operational administration of transactions under your regional contract.
Process and authorise accounts, including resolution of outstanding amounts under query and working capital requirements.
Process Funding requests and maintaining oversight on funding and cash utilization methods.
Process and monitor periodic discounts, incentives, and rebates due to Shell.
Perform regular auditing of supplier accounts to safeguard compliance and SGBP.
Maintain agent information and performance in Shell Systems: ABC assurance, Managing Service failure logs, Agent information, RADAR Registration
Proactive management and monitoring of contractors KPIs for accounting activities and protecting against delayed account submissions.
Informing business of relevant changes to Port tariffs and update in systems.
Support on internal projects and continuous improvement initiatives led by team financial and commercial leads


What we need from you?


A detail oriented, proactive individual educated to graduate level education, proven track record in ability to learn quickly and deliver results under time pressure.

Skilled in working across multi-cultural global team
Proficient in English language skills – both written and verbal.
Confident in effective stakeholder management, and a skilled communicator, particularly in a virtual environment.
Previous experience in roles having interface with trading operations / commercial teams an advantage
Awareness of shipping/agency/trading/accounts preferred but not essential
Awareness of aspects of trading compliance and counter party life cycle management preferred but not essential
Additional language skills beneficial.
