Description

The Senior STARS Improvement Professional develops, implements, and provides oversight on the execution of the regional markets Medicare/Medicaid Stars quality improvement programs and initiatives. The Senior STARS Improvement Professionals work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors to recommend, manage and execute these strategies to improve overall Star ratings and provider engagement.

Responsibilities

The Senior STARS Improvement Professional develops programs designed to increase the plans overall Star ratings and improve quality outcomes. Partners with leaders regarding implementation planning. Reviews and communicates results of programs. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications


Demonstrated critical and/or strategic thinking acumen
Proven project management skills
Strong attention to detail and focus on quality, process and accountability
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to operate under tight deadlines and influence
Understanding of metrics, trends and the ability to analyze various data points for insight
Proven organizational and prioritization skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer and provider experiences
Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required


Preferred Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Care or a related field
CMS Stars performance measures knowledge and experience
Progressive experience in the health solutions industry
Prior managed care experience
Background working in quality improvements
Project management training or certification a plus
