Aon is looking for an Investment Banking Analyst to join out Aon Securities Team in New York! This position is primarily responsible for providing analytic and strategic support for the origination and execution of Insurance Linked Securities transactions. Required experience for this role: Develop and refine best in class market analysesDevelop and refine clear and articulate client offeringsDevelop and refine financial models for the evaluation of certain securities transactionsAssist in structuring and placing catastrophe bonds or other insurance securitizationsProject managementPresentation creationTransaction documentation reviewSupport cross-functional strategic projects and represent Aon Securities as a reliable partner and constant innovator in industry meetings, conferences and client presentationsMaintain a comprehensive view of the market to educate and liase with Aon colleagues and potential clientsMaintain market database information and create tools to communicate Aon’s market viewsDevelop deep knowledge of the overall insurance and reinsurance industryQualifications: Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities: Strong understanding of financial concepts, analytics, math and statisticsAbility to flourish in a small, high pressure and intense work environmentComfortable with the balance between work and personal commitments that is required in this atmosphereAdvanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint is requiredExperience with stochastic modelling concepts and output is preferredExperience manipulating and representing data setsKnowledge of a programming language is preferred but not required (R, Matlab, SQL, Python…)Knowledge of and interest in the (re)insurance market and (re)insurance as an asset classKnowledge of and interest in capital marketsGood understanding of fixed income products and basic structured finance conceptsGood understanding of basic concepts and trends in the global financial marketsExcellent writing and communication skills, ability to write and deliver clear, concise and coherent presentations and written responses to Requests for ProposalsWe offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization. The target salary range for this position in New York is $77,400 to $85,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
