IT SAP ECC Netweaver Lead
Overseeing the IT SAP support team which may include the Basis and ABAP development team. The environment consists of SAP ECC 6.04, Solution Manager and a variety of Netweaver components.
The major responsibilities of this role will require an understanding of SAP ECC and SAP Netweaver components, and their interactions. For example, this person needs to understand the usage of SAP Netweaver Business Warehouse, and how the data is extracted from ECC and loaded into the Infocubes in BW. Alternatively, the person needs to understand the differences between Netweaver Enterprise Portal, SAP GUI and SAP Business Client.
This role is a blend of SAP functional and technical responsibilities. The position may require responsible for providing It requires the individual to oversee the work performed by SAP functional consultants (configurators), SAP ABAP developers and SAP Basis consultants. The individual must be able to connect technical solutions to functional business requirements.
The individual will manage the day to day priorities for the SAP Support teams which include the functional configuration team, the ABAP development team and the Basis team. The individual is responsible for keeping the SAP system operational for daily use by the business.
The individual is responsible for ensuring that the production environment is technically sound, and is operating on currently supported software & hardware.
In addition, the individual will participate in the implementation of additional functional and technical enhancements in a consultative role to the implementation project manager.
The individual will assist in the evaluation, prioritization, scheduling & implementation of SAP solutions. They will participate in overall solution design and detail business process design. They will ensure that all business facing SAP applications are implemented in a consistent manner.
They will be responsible for understanding the interactions between the various SAP modules within a business process and to perform impact assessment when business process changes are proposed.
This role requires interactions with other technical specialists in order to design & deliver the complete technical solution. The technical specialists include, but not limited to architecture, database, operating system specialists, networks and storage.
The scope of SAP systems include ERP Central Component v 6.04 and multiple Netweaver products which include but not limited to Business Intelligence, Process Integration, Governance Risk & Compliance and Solution Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Management of the SAP Support teams
Maintenance of a sound production SAP environment
Develop process & procedures for ensuring consistent configuration of business process across the SAP ECC landscape
Perform impact analysis of business process and technology changes
Providing functional & technical expertise on the SAP financial modules
Act as liaison between SAP Support teams and the SAP Project teams
Contribute to the quality standards and continuous improvement of the SAP business and IT processes
Assist in developing SAP system strategy, defining system requirements and executing proof of concepts
Position Requirements:
5 years of SAP functional & technical experience.
Functional experience in the FI / CO modules.
Technical experience in ECC and Netweaver components
At least 4 years of managing, leading, coaching and mentoring experience in the SAP support area
Able to work with functional / business users and technical / IT specialists
Capable of simplifying / communicating technical information to business users
Solid communication skills both verbal and written
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Strong troubleshooting and technical experience and ability to do root cause analysis
Demonstrated ability to manage/complete projects successfully
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information technology or Business Administration (Finance and Accounting)
Accounting or insurance experience is desirable
Able and willing to do international travel
