The SEC Analyst is a new role for GEHC. This position will play a critical role in the Company’s compliance with external reporting requirements as part of a newly formed U.S. public company. This will include involvement with the preparation and review of external filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange (“SEC”) for Form 10Q, 10K, and 8K within the Company’s Workiva filing tool. This position will also be responsible for: ensuring external filings have complete & accurate tie-out support, assist in the implementation and disclosure of new accounting standard pronouncements, disclosure controls related to external filings, external audit disclosure checklist preparation & review, EPS and adjusted EPS calculations, assist in the Company’s quarterly representation letter administration, XBRL tagging on SEC filings (as applicable), own the external reporting timelines and partner with other key business functions such as FP&A, investor relations, and SEC counsel to ensure deadlines are established and met.
The role will initially involve establishing accounting and reporting processes for the areas referenced above because of the recently announced spin-off. After the spin-off, the role will be responsible for the ongoing accounting and reporting of the areas referenced above. Ideal candidates should have experience in accounting and financial reporting ideally related to the areas above in addition to solid skills in problem solving, verbal and written communication, and working cross functionally in a global organization.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Support the preparation, accurate reporting, and filing of SEC periodic reports (e.g., 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K)
Coordinate with the broader finance team & business for necessary accounting disclosures for certain footnotes and management’s discussion and analysis
Collect and process edits received from management, auditors, and attorneys
Perform and manage XBRL tagging on areas of responsibility and perform quality reviews on areas tagged by others
Complete SEC and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) disclosure checklist
Stay up to date on new accounting and disclosure guidance and help assess the impact on the business and reporting environment
Other financial, compliance and special projects as assigned
Provide oversight in the execution of internal controls over external financial reporting
Exhibit leadership and drive a closing calendar that is efficient and is collaborative with other key functions such as FP&A and investor relations
Responsible as part business owner for Workiva SEC filing tool
Oversight of FCM automated workflow tool for SEC reporting
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
Demonstrated proficiency in U.S. GAAP/Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting
Workiva SEC filing tool experience
Advanced Hyperion, Oracle/Essbase, and Excel skills preferred.
Strong business analytical skills and ability to use those skills to influence and drive change.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong and persuasive communicator: essential to have credibility within a dynamic, challenging environment to drive change and establish process.
Desire to formulate and implement process/structure with drive to continue to challenge the status quo.
Demonstrated focus on being able to translate data and metrics into predictable, value-add business insight.
Strong results orientation, bias for action.
Demonstrated ability to manage change in a matrix organization.

Desired Characteristics
Certified Public Accountant
Big 4 public accounting or SEC reporting at U.S. Public Company (preferably in manufacturing space)
Experience with Workvia, SEC filing tool
Demonstrated ability working in cross functional teams or in matrixed organization with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.
Has strong interpersonal and communication skills
Adaptable/ Flexible: Ability to work beyond role boundaries or with uncertainty & fluid situations- able to embrace change in response to new information, unexpected or different circumstances and ambiguous situation.
Is quality conscious- provides quality deliverables consistently and has an eye for details.
Is organized and manages time well.
Experience applying SOX requirements
