Purpose and accountability

The Aviation Operations Manager (AOM) primary role is to ensure planes are fueled safely, efficiently and to maximise value derived from Aviation Operations through delivering world-class service and operational excellence to our customers at airport locations within the role territory.

The AOM’s accountability include:


To ensure the Health safety security, environmental (HSSE) and product quality risks of airport operations is managed effectively.
Manage relationship and contracts with agents and service providers.
Support business growth opportunities such as establishing and developing the operational requirements for New Airport Entries in Germany.
To ensure License to Operate requirements at the airport are met
With support from the Shell Operational Excellence team identify and implement efficiency and productivity improvements.
Ensure effective implementation and use of Data Capture Systems, and other systems that support scheduling
Act as Shell representative on JV Operational and / or HSSE Committees. Assume nominated Director responsibilities for Fuel Farm and Into Plane JVs within the DACH territory including conducting the required legal and fiduciary duties in this role.

Requirements:

Experience and qualifications


University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or a similar discipline
5-7 years’ experience in operations, preferably in Aviation or Road Transport
Outstanding leadership capabilities including excellent team and communication skills
Proven experience in stakeholder management including excellent negotiation and influencing skills
Strong commercial mindset combined with affinity for engineering and operations
Thorough Change Management experience and Continuous Improvement mind-set
Fluency in written and spoken German and English
