Job SummaryThe Assistant Manager, Full Service (FS) Compliance is responsible for the monitoring, consolidation and reporting of key contractual milestones for the continent’s FS owned/leased and managed properties. The Assistant Manager uses analytical skills and finance knowledge to constantly monitor business and competitive trends in markets in the US and Canada to identify opportunities and threats to business goals. He/She assists in developing early warning systems to preempt or proactively inform and prompt the continent finance business leadership team in order to address non-compliant hotels. Expected ContributionsnnWork with Senior Manager to ensure property leadership complies with contracts in a timely and accurate manner, meeting contractual due dates regarding Owner reporting, including: nAnnual Operating Statement and certifications, quarterly representationsnAnnual Owner’s Priority validationnAudits of financial statements.nnnWork with Senior Manager to consolidate MIP 66 US and Canada reporting; including review and analysis of balances reported.nWork with Revenue Management/Legal/DFAs/GMs on market share determination, updates to STR reports, and preparing Side Letters to the Management Agreements.nMaintain tools to ensure compliance around Major Deduction thresholds found in certain individual management agreements. For the Host Hotels and Resorts portfolio, this function has the added responsibility to ensure the timely and accurate submission of explanations for budget overages, as well as ensuring receipt of Owner approval or acknowledgement of these explanations. nManage Aged Receivables reporting to the Regions, update YTD summary files, and follow up on aging over 90 Days.nMaintain tools to ensure compliance with critical contractual key milestones for managed hotels such as fee changes, accurate owner priority calculations, owner procured insurance caps, expirations, contract renewals, and annual statements.nProvide support for the Management Agreement Synopsis (MAS), contract terminations summary reports and annual updates. nParticipate in training provided by appropriate MI Corporate Departments as required.
