You will help lead ouru00A0 export compliance program,u00A0 working closely with our global trade attorney and partnering across the Company.u00A0The person in this role will be highly collaborative and entrepreneurial, and focused on innovating, driving, and scaling a best-in-class trade compliance program, building relationships and driving strategy across multiple functions while anticipating evolving risk in an international market. This position will report to the Sr. Director of the Ethics & Compliance Program.u00A0u00A0Responsibilities:As Sr. Manager, Global Trade Compliance, you will work across teams to support Splunku2019s global trade/export compliance program. You will:Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures pertaining to regulations addressing export compliance for Splunk products and services.u00A0Provide advice and counseling on a variety of global trade compliance matters.Monitor Global Trade regulations affecting Splunk.u00A0Lead the restricted/denied party screening process working with cross-functional partners, and lead the on-going review and monitoring of the screening process.u00A0Collaborate with business leaders across Splunk to develop export compliance strategy and ensure strategic alignment and outcomes.Develop and provide export compliance training across the organization.Devise innovative ways to increase awareness of export compliance issues through outreach and communication.Work with cross functional internal partners to resolve issues arising from export compliance requirements.Review proposed transactions to identify and determine potential export licensing requirements and prepare and submit license applications as appropriate.Define and implement metrics tracking export compliance processes and operations.Assistu00A0 Legal Department colleagues on the appropriate determination of product Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs).Lead global trade compliance record-keeping and reporting efforts and monitor global trade compliance activities and procedures across Splunk.Educate and train employees on global tradeu00A0 policy changes and new directives.Lead required annual reporting, related to exports for the US government.Requirements:The candidate must have:Minimum of 12 yearsu2019 experience working with a global trade compliance program.BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.Extensive experience interacting with BIS, OFAC, US Customs and other government agencies on trade compliance issues.Deep knowledge of and experience with the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Sanctions Regulations, Anti-Boycott Regulationsu00A0 and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.Extensive experience with export classification, export licensing and restricted party screeningDemonstrated interest in globalu00A0 trade issues and geo-political developments that influence global trade regulation is essential.Knowledge of import and export regulations of other countries is a plus.Experience addressing export compliance issues arising from cloud services and enterprise software solutions.Proven ability to problem-solve and work independently.Strong project management skills.Able to provide practical, actionable advice to abroad range of business stakeholders.Strong organizational skills, an ability to juggle multiple projects at a time in a fast-moving, quickly-changing environment, both collaborating as a team and working independently.Experience working with or in a fast-paced multinational b2b or enterprise software company with a channel sales model preferred.Experience creating and conducting formal presentations and training internationally.Sense of Humor!Note: Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location.u00A0 The base pay for this position is dependent on work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate.
