Job Description:

The RE Portfolio Manager will manage a portfolio of commercial property transactions (acquisitions, disposals, major lease negotiations) and non-hydrogen construction, development and refurbishment projects, as well as to provide real estate consultancy services within the Real Estate Commercial Deals and Projects delivery function in the Americas focused on the United States. This position requires an energetic and skilled integrative leader, who can work across the portfolio, businesses, asset classes, and project types.

This role will be responsible for delivering commercial real estate deals and/or construction projects within a portfolio that covers multiple locations, business partners and asset types in furtherance of the RE portfolio plan. Portfolios and commercial deals ranging from USD multi-million investments to small scale but often complex acquisition, disposition, lease and build to suit requirements.

Accountabilities:

•Governance: deliver projects through mandated RE-ORS governance structure and process ensuring Group mandates are achieved through effective management of projects – safety, business objectives (value add), schedule, and budget.

•Commercial deals, including but not limited to, acquisition of large office leases, warehouse leases, site searches and acquisitions for new facilities, and dispositions of real estate interests.

•Conduct complex negotiations on own, or as part, of a professional team.

•Projects include the delivery of non-hydrocarbon construction activities including, but not limited to, office space build out, ground up construction of office buildings and warehouses, and demolition projects.

•Stay updated with the assigned Business drivers, targets, organization changes and external RE factors that influence performance and strategy.

•Promote the implementation of continuous business improvement.

•Develop and maintain relationships with Business Opportunity Managers, Decision Executives, and business partners.

•Leverage external partners to create efficiencies and deliver business outcomes that exceed expectations.

•Managing the Portfolio Delivery activities in a sustainable way in line with Group and RE Sustainable Development mandates and frameworks.

•Provide key input into Portfolio Plan development.

•Have responsibility for Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) in accordance with Global HSSE policy.

•Own and manage the Group RE Plan accurately updating any program and portfolio data into property systems (RE Progress or REFX) as required.

•Supervising the delivery of proceeds and operational cost savings in accordance with the RE Plan.

Requirements:

•Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

•Business undergrad degree or Engineering undergrad degree with MBA.

•Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in delivering commercial deals and/or construction projects.

•Management background within a commercial real estate environment preferred.

•Real Estate commercial deal and project delivery experience at a strategic level is essential.

•Ability to engage and work with senior business leaders.

•Experience working within high performance teams.

•Professional transaction and/or contract management.
