SUMMARY :
The senior manager will create a center of excellence to design, and implement analytics, automation and enabling technologies and tools and reporting as needed in support of finance transformation accounting initiatives and cost savings goals. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensuring efficiency in all reporting and analytics processes including a culture that emphasizes quality work and continuous improvement in a high-performance environment.
Applying industry and technical accounting knowledge to oversee the interpretation and reporting of data utilizing visualization and models.
Developing strategies to address analytics and reporting needs and modeling data and information to design best practices and process improvements to existing accounting processes.
Considering the impact to internal controls over the processes within their scope of responsibility.
Creating key monthly and weekly analytics and reporting views and dashboards for multiple business stakeholder groups and presenting ideas and solutions to senior leaders.
Monitoring trends in data to provide insights to users and business management.
Ensuring an analytical mindset to solve problems and present solutions to maintain a continuous improvement environment.
Utilizing automation tools and models to streamline accounting processes and reporting.
Creating monitoring to ensure cost savings goals and initiatives are met for the finance transformation accounting projects.
Networking with other finance transformation teams to solve for combined solutions and process improvements.
Leading presentations to train key stakeholders on changes to accounting process improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelors' degree in an academic field directly related and essential to this job (Accounting or Finance degree preferred).
Experience: 6 years of related experience in a combination of data analytics, financial accounting, and reporting.
Special Skills: Excellent organizational skills. Certified Public Accountant preferred, but not required.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of SAP and data tables preferred, and advanced knowledge and experience of analytics models and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau required.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate with all levels within the organization.
Management: The position currently will not have direct reports, but direct reports can be added in future state.
Reports to: Sr. Director – Corporate Accounting
Travel: Minimal travel.
