Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves
consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services,
including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages,
credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer&
Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business
to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in
consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and
regulatory, among others

In the Full Application and Line
Assignment role, the candidate will be
responsible for analyzing and quantifying risk based acquisitions strategies
for Business credit cards, managing through implementation of the strategy and
ongoing monitoring to optimize profitability.

 

The role will
include, but is not limited to, conducting complex risk analysis via
statistical methods and segmentation analysis to set the business card
underwriting criteria, credit limits, and exposure amount for existing and new
products. This will be accomplished through an understanding of risk analytic
techniques and relevant data, clear communication to business partners, and a
strong working relationship with individuals within Risk Management and partners
in the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

Conduct UAT testing prior to strategy
implementation, validate strategy and policy implementation quality and
track performance over timeGenerate thoughtful analytics &
recommendations concerning acquisitions, including strategy development,
implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoringAttain a detailed understanding of key
acquisitions performance metrics and profitability drivers enabling the
delivery of insights to managementAcquire an understanding of the operational
processes (e.g. underwriting, portfolio, collections) which will aid in
understanding acquisitions performance driversConduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to
various projects representing Risk Management

Qualifications

Master’s degree or
equivalent in statistics, economics, mathematical finance, industrial
engineering, physics, or related quantitative field2 years of
experience in financial credit risk strategy development, or related experienceStrong analytical
and problem-solving abilitiesProven ability to
query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable
management informationExperience in
analytical tools including SAS, SQL, and VBA, and statistical segmentation
tools, including E-miner and Knowledge Seeker.Experience in
Excel (including pivot tables) and Powerpoint. Experience in
financial lending credit risk management, especially underwriting riskDemonstrated
knowledge of P&L (profitability and loss) analysis in financial industryAbility to work
independently while managing multiple deadlines and prioritiesStrong written and
oral communication skillsExperience
delivering recommendations to management
