Our recently renovated luxury hotel in New York, Conrad New York Midtown , is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to join our leadership team!

Located in midtown Manhattan, this urban luxury hotel has over 500 rooms, 6,000 square feet in banquet space, and 2 food and beverage outlets. This includes the renovated 3-meal restaurant and in-room dining.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the direction and administration of all financial operations of the hotel.

The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of USALI. OnQ and Union experience is preferred.

What will I be doing?

As the Assistant Director of Finance, you would be responsible for assisting in the direction and administration of all financial operations of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


Manage the department to include, but not limited to, managing special projects, monitoring and developing team member performance, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations, delivering recognition and reward, recruiting, interviewing and training team members
Directly oversee Accounts Receivable, Credit, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Revenue Audit functions. Indirectly oversee outsourced teams for P2P processing, Collections, and other routine accounting functions.
Orchestrate the month end process and ensure accuracy of the financial reports
Prepare journal entries and review journals of subordinates for accruals, inventory fluctuations, and cost allocations.
Assist Director with internal daily audits of cash deposits, transfers and preparation for and
Monitor the capital budget including preparing CAPEX submissions and reconciling project progress and payments
Review and approve tax collections to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
Prepare budget/forecasts and maintain spending controls to ensure budgetary limits are met
Control access to systems and periodically perform user access audits.
Review and approve all ledger account reconciliations including, but not limited to, bank statements, assets liabilities and credit cards

Salary Range: The annual salary range for this role is $120,000 - $125,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
