SUMMARY: This position is responsible for directing and continuously improving Cobb's financial planning processes which includes monthly and quarterly projections annual operating planning strategic planning and performance metrics; developing and maintaining financial models to forecast financial results; managing the Quarterly Business Review and Performance Metrics processes preparation of Executive presentations for Quarterly Business Reviews; and analytical projects as required. This position's responsibilities also include various analytical and research projects for the President of Cobb, the CFO, Business Unit General Managers and other senior management. Other responsibilities include business analysis projects preparing various performance reports and preparing management presentations. The role will also support Cobb's merger and acquisition process by providing financial analysis and modeling. This role will also oversee Cobb's transfer pricing methodology and coordination between various business units and Tyson's International Tax group. This role is also responsible for consolidation of the financials for the monthly quarterly annual and strategic planning process. Develop and maintain the Business Unit Quarterly Business Review presentation templates and Executive reporting packages. Coordinate and communicate financial planning calendar. Recommend and implement changes improvements to planning processes. Build maintain and own extensive financial model of the company s historical and projected performance P L and related financial metrics. Partner with BU and Shared Services leaders to develop Performance Metrics guidelines and lead year-end metrics review with Senior Management. Lead and develop the Cobb FP A team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education/ Experience: College degree or equivalent experience with 12 plus years of progressive experience in field of expertise or advanced degree if required with 10 plus years of progressive experience.
Accountability Role: Seasoned leader with responsibility for managing similar activities of multiple departments work units or a large facility; Develops operational goals consistent with approved functional business unit strategy and within company policy; Primary focus of role is performance maximization in the short to medium term with secondary focus on influencing the strategy of a function business unit; Results have a material impact on the achievement of functional business unit objectives; Leads team s of senior managers managers and professionals to achieve strategic objectives; Typically presents and produces work for the highest level of functional business unit leadership.
Experience: 10 plus years in Accounting and or Finance field with experience in financial planning modeling and analytics
Computer Skills: Strong Advanced MS Excel skills. Familiarity with business intelligence suites such as Tableau or Power BI would be beneficial.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication Skills.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for leading the Cobb FP A team.
Travel: 4 or more trips per year international travel is possible .
