DescriptionThe DoubleTree Boston Downtown and DoubleTree Boston Bayside are looking for a dynamic Complex Director of Revenue Management (Remote Flexible) to join their team. TOTAL COMPLEX:n460 Keysn2100 square feet of Meeting Spacen$36M Annual RevenuenWhat will I be doing?The primary responsibility is to strategically drive Commercial performance by communicating and influencing inside the hotel and above property. As the Complex Director of Revenue Management, you should have strong analytical skills and experience resolving day-to-day tactical challenges while constantly thinking about strategic hotel opportunity. This position creates, challenges, and coordinates commercial strategies for all revenue streams within the hotel include but limited to; critical analysis on property wide decisions affecting pricing, occupancy, revenue goals and commercial planning. In this role you will conduct ongoing assessments of competitive sets and revenue management practices to understand demand and develop strategies. The position demands a very proactive relationship and regular communication with all hotel commercial leaders, Hilton regional team, company peers and ownership.This position is also responsible for the following:nCreate hotel activation plans to overcome pace/position deficiencies with the goal of exceeding forecasts and beating the competition (Market share). Constant consideration and search for best demonstrated practices in the interest for maximum commercial impact.nEffective evaluation of market demand by utilizing available data including proprietary and third-party data tools including but not limited to STR, Amadeus, GRO, PEAK etc. nBuild positive partnerships with commercial peers as well as other teams to ensure clarity in and connectivity to enterprise efforts.nEnsure hotel forecasts reflect best possible outcomes by leveraging the latest macro and local trends.nProvide leadership and mentorship as an Executive Committee Member to both challenge and grow a commercial culture inside the hotel to accentuate individual strengths of each department.nActively engaged in channel distribution and management through collaboration at properties where marketing exists or drive the outcome where it does not.nCommunication of hotel’s commercial strategy for short, mid, and long-term success to key stakeholdersnThis Executive Committee position reports directly to the General Manager.  This role is principally responsible for predicting consumer demand, optimizing hotel inventory, and challenging all hotel revenue performance through commercial planning.  The position critically analyzes pricing decisions and their effects on occupancy, RevPAR and rooms profit goals in the short, mid, and long-term booking windows while influencing the hotel’s full commercial direction. This position is a key member of the commercial leadership team driving performance for all revenue streams, distribution channels and marketing activations. This leader cultivates a positive relationship based on trust and confidence with hotel leadership, owners, and asset management.nManage and maintain group and transient inventory controls including, but not limited to, room accommodation and rate inventory controls, roll-in controls, group inventory and cut-off dates, implementation of blackout dates, maintaining demand information and managing sellout strategies in partnership with Front OfficenServe as primary liaison with Front Office, Sales and Marketing and Reservation to maximize inventory and profitabilitynDevelop, monitor and adjust sales and pricing strategiesnConducts competitive and demand analyses and provides critical analysis of chosen strategies, room statistics and general demand factors to ensure the most effective and efficient balance between demand and availabilitynConduct forecasting, review all competitive shops, review demand, convention and city event calendars, maintain data on competitor products and maintain historical data on events and performancenMonitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and rewardnRecruit, interview and train team membersnManage the department and participate in and facilitate meetingsnRequirementsTo fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:nMinimum Education: Bachelor's Degree required or commensurate work experience in lieu thereof.nMinimum Years of Experience: Three (3) or more years in revenue management or commensurate work experience in lieu thereof. (Flexible based on Hotel Profile)nMinimum Years of Experience: Three (3) years cross-functional experience in hotel management, or related industry, essential.
