Sr. Financial Analyst Divisional Accounting - PVH Corp.

Profile

Responsible for assisting in the accounting and analysis for various retail divisions in the US and Canada.  Complete journal entries necessary for month end close. Prepare monthly account analysis for various balance sheet accounts. Prepare schedules for the year-end audit and quarterly reviews.  Review the work of Financial Analyst for certain lower-risk accounts.  Assist Financial Reporting Department with footnote disclosure support.  Complete special projects for management as necessary.

• Assist in the monthly closing process for retail divisions by preparing account analysis on various P&L and B/S accounts including but not limited to inventory in transit, prepaid assets, accrued liabilities and lease accounting.  Schedules are prepared using excel with extensive use of pivot tables. Prepare journal entries based on these analyses. 

• Complete detailed analysis on retail Inventory in Transit.  Monitor aging of Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt matching process (GRIR).  Review moving average cost changes for reasonableness. Research unusual items working with other departments as needed.  Ensure proper accounting is completed in a timely fashion on all purchase orders.

• Prepare monthly statement packages for review of various retail divisions.

• Prepare and/or review annual analysis on items including by not limited to retail store impairments, state tax apportionments, and Puerto Rico retail store audits.

• Prepare schedules for the year-end audit and quarterly reviews.

• Assist with special projects and process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:   3+ years in Accounting; Experience with SAP and/or Essbase is a plus.          

Education:   Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus

Skills:  Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills with an internal customer focus is required.  Able to work well both independently and through collaborating as part of a team is required.  Able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities required. Able to suggest and create meaningful analysis pertaining to areas of responsibility on an ad hoc basis is required.  Initiative in researching issues is required.  Strong knowledge of Excel is required.  Individual will need to quickly learn various financial systems such as SAP and Essbase, if the candidate does not already have experience with them.  A detail-oriented individual will make for a successful candidate.
