SAP ABAP/FICO Consultant

Profile

International Travel required.
Responsible for supporting the on-going design, improvement, and training efforts on the SAP Finance team by working with relevant parties on both the SAP team as well as in the business units.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in either Finance, Accounting, or related field.
10-15 years experience in finance/accounting
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Consults and coordinates with stakeholders to design and map business processes and procedures. Leads detailed requirement phases identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving requirements issues. Prepares and consolidates requirements documentation. Prepares or assists in the preparation of the implementation plan. Supports User Acceptance Testing by supporting planning, development of test cases, execution of tests. Facilitates small to large meetings and conducts information gathering sessions. Assists the assessment of financial business unit requirements and translating those requirements in the most appropriate manner to SAP. High attention is paid to ensuring uniform design and mandating best-in-class global process. Supports the technical efforts of system design and ensuring proper functionality toward intended process requirements. Assists in training, data cutover / validation, and go-live support for the end-user community for system and process functionality.
Required skills / background:
Minimum 5 years SAP ABAP experience.
Minimum additional 5 years in one or more of the SAP functional area SD, AR, or AP.
Experience integrating SAP with 3rd party tax software - Vertex or Sabrix
Strong communication and teamwork skills
