Position Purpose
Credit Risk Advisor US Lubes
What’s the role?
Ensure the seamless delivery of Credit management through driving the right balance of risk and reward. Continue to drive the concentration, and standardization, of activities to ensure efficient and affordable support in assisting with delivery of business objectives and outcomes.
Your role will include:
Drive all primary Credit activities related to Credit Management including Credit Vetting, Debt Collection & Recovery and Cash Application & Allocation
Develop and implement credit management strategies for US Lubricant accounts
Partnering with and providing advice to internal commercial and finance stakeholders, as well as external counterparties where applicable
Responsible for balancing business objectives against credit risk in accordance with policy and with direction from Credit Committees
Drive operational excellence in credit management by further integrating and optimizing the costs of CBC (Central Business Center) and COC (Central Operations Center) central team activities
Requirements
What we need from you –
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Candidate must have minimum of four to five (4 - 5) years working experience in financial analysis or statement or related field
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or any related field
Requires strong level of leadership, maximizing commercial opportunities while taking acceptable credit risk
Skill to assess industry risk, external market, and support sales/business with appropriate response (currency crisis, debt crisis, pandemic, etc.)
Experience in SAP, Credit System
Ability to provide a more innovative and practical financing solution to help Shell manage credit risk, working capital, and support business to grow profitability with excellent knowledge of the market, competitors, JV partners and local banking infrastructure.
Roles requires significant negotiation experience in commercial credit environment
Strong influencing and negotiating skills with ability to make tough decisions and assume accountability for those decisions.
Experience developing and implementing process improvements
Prior credit Management experience required
Strong presentation/ communication skills required
Automation and digital skills a plus
