JOB TITLE:                        Credit & Collections SupervisorINTERNAL JOB TITLE:    SUPERVISOR, COLLECTIONSJOB CATEGORY:               FinanceJOB DESCRIPTION:Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:  This role is responsible for resolution of inaccurate billing to other telecom providers who purchase on a wholesale basis from Frontier.  Resolution of billing disputes includes educating customers on the dispute process, conducting conference calls with customers to discuss and resolving outstanding billing issues, and facilitating the resolution of inaccurate customer billing.  The position works internally with other partner groups (Ordering, Product team, Account Managers, I.T., Engineers etc.) to resolve inaccurate billing and other customer problems to provide customer satisfaction and to reduce billing disputes.  Resolution of billing disputes requires an understanding of the wholesale ordering process and the contracts which govern the rates and other terms of billing.  The position responsibilities also include identifying issues impacting collections of outstanding receivables, completing payment investigations and account balance reconciliations, and other efforts needed to collect outstanding balances and positively impact Frontier’s cash flow.  This position will also supervise a team of advisors that assists in the resolution of billing disputes and customer issues.Skills and Competencies:   Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to analyze financial data and make appropriate decisionsAbility to interpret contractual language for appropriate billingAbility to understand wholesale ordering requests and impact to billingAttention to detail, strong customer service skills and strong interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage one's timeAbility to coach and assist Advisors in resolution of billing and collections issuesPrevious experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and AccessWorking knowledge of DPI, CABS, VFO, VxField and M6 preferredEducation/Experience:   High School Diploma or GED required.  Associate or Bachelor degree in a financial major is preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.  Previous experience with ordering and/or billing in the telecom industry, and ability to interpret contractual language for appropriate billing.Responsibility level:   Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor.
