The Role

What is the role?

As Team Manager for Downstream East, your role will include the following:


Effectively and efficiently operate and continuously improve Accounts Payable RTP Process



Takes ownership and accountability for end-to-end Accounts Payable RTP process delivery for assigned group of countries/scopes and delivers against agreed KPI targets. Process includes invoice processing, managing and resolving exceptions, controls and reporting
Acts as escalation focal point . Maintains the BCP and Interoperability readiness for critical activities
Develops, maintains and operates control framework that ensures robust control over team activities
Making operational decisions while maintaining strong internal controls
Identify process improvements or control gaps and highlight and drive to resolve



Delivering supervisor expectations, including but not limited to:



Establish clear and specific outcomes for the team to deliver
Set expectations for and role model continuous improvement
Coach and develop own team to deliver business performance
Let team members know how they are performing through open and honest conversations
Connect team member's activities to the bottom line
Ensure people have the clarity and capability they need to deliver
Create clear commitments and accountability within the team
Plans resources for the team, recruits and onbaord, manages changes in the team, ensures knowledge maintenance, successful handovers, process continuity and plans succession



Support projects and initiatives in RTP/AP that impact area of responsibility, including but not limited to migrations and scope changes, on setting up new entities in collaboration with other teams, digitalization projects and business change programmes.

Maintain an effective working relationship with key stakeholders, including but not limited to CP Ops Delivery Manager, CP Data STM, RA DS Business Analyst, AP PE P&P Expert, CP PGS Process Expert, Country Finance Advisors



Initiates, manages and actively attends operational meetings, including Operational AP-CP connects to discuss performance, issues, collaboration.
Demonstrate and role model One Finance Behaviors and Safe Hands



Be a valued member of Extended AP Downstream and Global Functions Leadership Team, and contribute to planning and implementing shared priorities in the organization

Lead own team through changes while ensuring care is demonstrated and business continuity



delivery of change of AP Operating Model
various AP improvement agenda and digitalization initiatives, including driving exemplary user experience
business changes relevant to own scope of operations


Requirements:

Education/Experience:


Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration preferred
2-3 years of professional experience as leader and 4 years of operational experience in the process
Strong accounting knowledge of AP Process and good understanding of RTP systems and processes


Business/Professional Skills:


Strong people management experience
Strong communication skills
Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
Innovative and open minded
Good organizational skills with ability to succeed under tight deadlines
