Operations Team At Pure
Global Operations cover the areas of order fulfillment, procurement and commodity management, manufacturing, supply planning and execution, manufacturing operations engineering and logistics and trade compliance.
As the hands-on and results-driven Cost Operations Manager within the Strategy and Business Operations department in Global Operations, you will lead the completion and delivery of supply chain costing activities with your team. You will be the driver of digital transformation in automating cost processes and reporting capabilities to achieve operational excellence.
You will need a solid understanding of Supply Chain and Cost Accounting coupled with strong analytical and technical skills. You must be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment with the desire to solve and help automate reporting processes with little guidance. You and your team will work closely with business leaders in Operations, Finance, and Pure’s contract manufacturers to set quarterly standard product costs, reconcile PPV & IR transactions, define tariff projections and actuals, and model and project product COGS. You will also be the architect and visionary for automating financial reports and dashboards to support both strategic and tactical business objectives. What
You Will Be Doing
Lead a team of cost analysts
Architect digital transformation solutions for Cost Operations
Model and present estimated product costs for Integrated Solutions (OEM/Reseller, Alliance, 3rd party, Acquisition).
Analyze commodity pricing, cost of goods sold, sales, and forecast data to calculate quarterly commodity savings.
Work with multiple internal stakeholders to collect COGS modeling assumptions for all products.
Analyze standard versus actual cost results, provide concise understanding of variances compared to plan. Analyze actual performance compared to the business plans.
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities with supply chain, commodity, logistics, NPI, etc.
Monitor, analyze, and report on cost of goods sold and manufacturing variances in line with inventory levels
Triage and enforce negotiated commodity pricing at our contract manufacturers.
Based on cost forecasting expertise, support Operations decision-making projects by providing timely analytical support.
Advise manufacturing costing activities and provide improvement strategies that the company should take. Forecasting impacts of suggested improvements.
Assist with cost reporting automation and cross-functional process improvement projects.
Evolve Pure’s Cost data warehouse as needs arise, leveraging dimensional model best practices.
Drive advanced analytical initiatives and promote data driven decision making across the supply chain.
Lead internal software development efforts by leveraging agile development best practices with a focus on continuous integration.
What You Bring To The Team
Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or Finance) with 10 or more years of experience in Finance, Business Intelligence, Operations, or Manufacturing/Supply Chain.
Familiarity with build plan forecasts, inventory, product lifecycle, and commodity management activities.
Highly detail-oriented with strong quantitative, financial analytical & modeling skills.
Data visualization experience in Tableau or similar tool is required.
Extensive experience querying RDBMS database data (SQL) is required.
Clear and precise communication is critical. Experience working with cross-functional teams while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Flexible, collaborative, and a dynamic team-player who can work collaboratively with many different types of personalities and still maintain a sense of calm and good humor under pressure.
Demonstrated effectiveness with oral and written communication skills with proven experience presenting project information to representatives from all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize multiple tasks, problem solve under pressure of deadlines and resource constraints.
Agile/Scrum sprint management
Advanced Data Visualization - Tableau/PowerBI/Redash
Advanced computational skills in Excel/Google Sheet
The ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely through data analysis
Familiarity with Netsuite and Salesforce RDBMS schemas
Highly organized and able to prioritize and work to tight deadlines
Able to build positive business relationships and work collaboratively across organizational boundaries

ETL and/or Informatica/Snaplogic/Alteryx
Dimensional data modeling
Time series - SARIMA/ARIMA
Data science – forecasting and analysis methodologies
JIRA/Confluence authoring experience
