On-going role, hybrid. Can be based in Melbourne or Sydney
Use your business insights and data analysis skills to influence and guide growth and decision-making
What you could be doing
This is a newly created role where you can play a key role in driving the Digital Growth Strategy for our intermediary business, Acerta.
You’ll be part of our broader Product & Underwriting Team and focus on providing valuable insights across pricing, product, planning and forecasting as well as portfolio monitoring. You’ll leverage your actuarial/ data analysis/ business intelligence background. Initially, this will be focused on a residential landlord’s product and will branch out to others as we pursue our growth strategy.
Our team will lean on your analysis and insights on our customer, sales, and claims performance to inform strategic decisions. You’ll get to exercise your curiosity as we’ll want the know the “why” behind the data you surface and will look to you for your informed recommendations on any issues you’ve identified, how we can solve for these and where other opportunities for growth might be.
Who you are
You’re motivated by: The ability to be close to and influence strategic business decisions. You’ll relish the opportunity to combine your insurance experience with your affinity for data and ability to surface insights. You’ll want to share your insights and recommendations and will be able to communicate these effectively across a range of audiences.
You’ll thrive in: A business where you and your work will be visible and valued. With our size, you won’t be a cog in the wheel, and you get to see the impact of the work that you do.
You may have experience in the general insurance industry in roles where you’ve been exposed to product pricing, portfolio management, valuation or reserving. You could also come from a consulting background, and you’re keen to work directly in industry with experienced colleagues who are invested in your success. You’d have experience in business intelligence or analytics, and solid Excel skills and it would be a plus if you knew your way around VBA/SQL programming.
Why us?
