POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Financial Analyst – Credit is responsible for opening new accounts, collecting and analyzing financial, bank and trade information; and setting initial credit lines.   Responsible for monitoring and updating all existing accounts on a regular basis.  The Analyst will collaborate Financial Services activities between Credit/Collections, Cash Applications, Deductions Group and Treasury. Coordination of all SAP Customer Master Maintenance for the corporation’s A/R and multiple order processing systems. Other duties include order releases and processing across all companies and divisions. The candidate must exhibit strong analytical and financial skills and must possess strong attention to detail and have the ability to work effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Gather necessary financial information to establish a customer’s line of credit.

• Research bank and trade 

• Request and review financial statements for a select book of accounts.  

• Open new accounts for all divisions

• Upload files to On Base and maintain the file database

• Assist in preparation of the Bad Debt portfolio

• Assist in maintaining the distressed account portfolio (collection and bankrupt accounts). 

• Credit line approvals: within assigned parameter

• Support ad hoc projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:   1+ years prior business experience in Finance, Accounting or Credit         

Education:     Bachelor’s degree  

Skills:

• Working knowledge of SAP

• Strong proficiency in MS Office – Excel, Word & Power Point

• Knowledge of ON BASE a plus

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills

• Flexibility surrounding change and ability to excel in a fast paced environment

• Ability to build strong relationships with internal counterparts and management
