Job Title: Senior Director – APJ portfolio specialists and solution architects

About the role

for APJ is an overlay pre-sales management position that leads a team of Product Specialists and Solution Architects.
This team serves as a resource to drive the adoption and expansion of the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Portfolio Products, solutions focused on Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, Hybrid Cloud Management, Unified Storage, Database, DaaS/EUC, and Cloud.
This role will have APJ responsibility and owns the sales targets for all products outside of core **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. AOS, as well as having high-level responsibility for defining go-to-market strategy for APJ for all new products, client engagement, sales strategy, partner strategy, transitioning the Sales and SE team to solution selling and interface into Product Management in HQ.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Systems Engineering in APJ

To manage the Portfolio Specialists and Solution Architects team.
To collaborate with the APJ Leadership Team and ensure clarity of planning, interaction, and selling in the Regions.
To build the Strategy, Business & Marketing Plan for transitioning APJ Presales BU to solution selling motion and the new product portfolio.
To achieve the sales targets for the Product Portfolio
To manage the weekly forecast and achieve / - 10% accuracy
To understand the market growth dimensions for new Products and build the future year headcount growth models
To oversee the design, in APJ, for any additional new product and Go-to-Market
To work closely with the Alliances, Business Partners, and System Integrator Teams to develop presales competencies and drive new product adoption and growth across APJ
To help drive the Pipeline growth agenda for new products, including strengthening the interlock between Sales, Marketing, Inside Sales, and general field SEs
To ensure that there is a clear PR strategy for each product and engage with assigned media and press
To work closely with the Sales Enablement Team to ensure a smooth education program for new and existing products/solutions
To run Quarterly Business Reviews for each region and the theater as a whole to ensure sharing of best practices and continuous improvement
To ensure that MEDDPICC reviews have been completed for key opportunities
To act as Executive Sponsor for key clients and opportunities
To act as a point of interlock into the Corporate Team for the Product Strategy, Roadmap, and Feedback
To develop systems, processes, skills, and competencies in APJ to host EBCs in key locations such as Sydney and Singapore
Requirements:
10 years of relevant experience in software sales
10 years of Technical Sales Management
5 years of working in APJ, in multiple countries, and exposure to major economies across APJ
Experience in launching new products and solutions to the APJ market
Experience with C-level discussion and outreach
Track record of exceeding APJ sales quotas
Proven technical and business consulting track record
Experience supporting enterprise Data Centre products with a focus on
one of the following:
Networking/Security
Cloud infrastructure solutions
Appliance automation
Enterprise storage solutions
Practical understanding of Private/Public/Hybrid Cloud architectures
Land and expand account management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams, leveraging company resources to drive sales and solve customer challenges
Strong communication, time management, problem-solving, project management, and interpersonal skills
Success in building high-performance technical teams that drive growth
Deep expertise in analysing data, identifying areas of concern, and acting on them
A Bachelor of Science Degree in OR equivalent experience is preferred
A Master of Science Degree in Engineering or an MBA is preferred
Fluent English language skills are required for this position
