Job Description:

What’s the role?

Finance Consultant S/4 CFIN

ERP Finance CC to serve as the central IT resourcing body houses Finance /Tax/PS skills with in Competency and its Major delivery focus is to:


Secure existing ERP delivery and its operation.
Create more opportunities for Shell Staff in Next Generation ERP S/4 implementations to ensure Shell leading the implementation to drive maximum value for our businesses.


In general ERP CC Business analysts / functional consultants will adopt the design standards established by ERP Product management organization / Design Authorities, be part of natural project team and deliver ERP Finance solutions as per the business needs.

ERP Finance CC will have the following starting scope, further scope can be identified later:


Implementations
Anything implemented on the S4 HANA Platform (Cloud and On Premise) including Finance (ERP, EPM), Plant Maintenance, Procurement and Contingent Workforce
SAP Central Finance (C-FIN)
SAP Cloud Platform integrated projects


Roles


IT resources: All roles required to deliver S4 projects – e.g. Business Analysts, Testers, Developers, Change Management, Data Management, Integration/Interfacing, etc.
S4 Project management resources will be planned through the CoE but can be part of the broader functional/business communities of practice or the S4 Enterprise Program


Key accountabilities for the Finance Consultant will be:


Work closely with Business Analysts and business users to translate finance and tax requirements covering legal, fiscal and regulatory scope into system configurations against S/4 Finance Design standards.
Take accountability for end-to-end unit and scenario testing of all Finance and tax configuration items for full scale business implementations.
Support Business Analysts and end business users through the change journey including testing and address configuration issues in a timely fashion.
Work in close collaboration with the Finance and Tax Design Authorities to ensure new emerging functionality is understood and that implementation experiences from business deployments are incorporated into the overarching S/4 enterprise design.
Act as a key collector of product gaps and improvement opportunities, appropriately document these items and flow these opportunities along with a value case to the appropriate route with SAP (Oil & Gas Consortium, CIO office, Architecture, other SAP engagement bodies as appropriate)


What we need from you


Minimum Education or Certification: 3-year University Degree
Typical Experience: Extensive SAP experience & S/4 CFIN hands on work experience in Shell or outside of Shell and S/4 CFIN implementation experience is a must. CFIN certification is good to have.
Proven and consistent delivery track record
Experience working in multi project environment with many stakeholders
Strong ERP Platform background, S/4 CFIN experience.
Strong understanding of Finance and Tax business processes run in ERP.
Strong collaboration and partnering skills.
Technology knowledge and understanding both in Finance Applications, ERP and Cloud EPM future solution.
