All roles work in close collaboration with the CoB / function / asset / geog / category they support with the intent to be on the ‘front foot’ bringing innovation to supply chains and supporting business development. The impact and influence on delivering the DS&F and CoB business strategies is far-reaching and significant, from Care in terms of supporting the safety and welfare of our supply chain communities to leading the way on delivering the Energy Transition and circularity across all the emissions scopes and waste we generate to leverage the current and emerging digital platforms that provide internal and external connectivity to deliver insights and value. The purpose of this role is to execute the Category Management & Contracting Process (CMCP) including Contract Strategy, Tactics and Contract Management activities for the assigned scope in Real Estate.

RE category covers: Facility Management, Asset Protection, Transactions, Projects, Master Planning and Architecture and Design
Direct management of $90mln/a spend in Americas for Facility Management and $85ln/a globally for Security, contributing a proportion of the management of approx. $700mln/a spend in the global RE category
The global RE category team comprises 3
Regional Category Leads and 7
Supply chain Leads, reporting to the CP Manager Real Estate, working closely with a virtual procurement team based in the SBOs
Accountabilities:
Value
-Ensure CP strategies are fully aligned to the Functional objectives and policies, demand and specification opportunities of the Business, and Shell’s Powering Progress strategy
-CP representative in several senior stakeholder communities, managing their project pipeline from a commercial perspective and framing the opportunities
-Drive post contract management and supplier relationship management effectively and collaboratively to ensure delivery and continuous performance improvement, monitored via relevant contract key metrics (Eg: HSSE, Operations, Cost)
-Conduct tenders, evaluate bids & drive negotiations with Suppliers in accordance to the CMCP as an overall ‘guidance’.
-Identify, develop & implement supply chain value improvement opportunities.
HSSE
-Implementation of Contractor HSSE and Worker Welfare practices in close liaison with Contract Managers/Holders and Owners.
Business Interface
Working closely with Real Estate facilities management and project teams, proactively identify & understand commercial/procurement needs from internal stakeholders (Shell Business) and collaboratively propose competitive solutions. This may involve constructively challenging the Business Demand &/or Procurement Practices in order to drive value and efficiency for the organization.
Supplier Interface
Manage Supplier Relationships effectively and collaboratively drive continuous performance improvement via relevant contract key metrics (Eg: HSSE, Operations, Cost, KPIs). This would involve constructively challenging the Suppliers in terms of the contract delivery and performance as well.
Efficient deployment of new Enterprise Framework Agreements and relevant implementation of call offs
CP Interface
Ensure strong connections across the wider CP Organization (Eg: Downstream, Projects, MICA, Upstream, CP Operations) to ensure continuous cross sharing and leverage of best practices.
Builds effective working relationships with others and makes a constructive contribution within immediate team.
Process
Ensure application of the E2E CMCP process, using commercial judgement, common sense and a simplification mind-set, understanding the difference between non-negotiable compliance elements (Safety, E&C, Code of Conduct, Law) and CP operating practices, while always keeping enterprise business value in focus.
Requirements
A degree level (Business/Finance/Logistics) or proven long term comprehensive experience within CP.
Proven track record of execution excellence & delivering results. MCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) Qualification would be preferred but not mandatory.
Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex strategies and deals.
Proven experience in Post Award Contract Management (PACM)
Highly driven, ‘can do’, inspiring, able to articulate in a crisp and precise manners understood and is credible at all levels in Shell.
Focused on tangible value outcomes for the enterprise, translates strategy to outcomes.
Mix of operational experience and global/regional corporate roles, multiple LoB.
Uncompromising on HSSE, ethics & compliance is a ‘must have’ in all CP.
Collaborates and integrates within CP and with business, enterprise first.
Understands business and speaks business language.
Has effective influencing skills and can flex his/her style to audience.
Proven track record of commercial acumen. Continuous improvement and simplification mindset.
Strong and Proven Interpersonal, Influencing & Stakeholder Management Skills. Cope with complexity & uncertainty and proven adaptability. Driven, Motivated & Passionate to drive positive change.
Ability to work closely with senior business partners
