The Corporate Accounting and Financial Instruments team is a team of accounting professionals who provide shared accounting services to the Walt Disney Company (including all business segments). Under the leadership of the Sr. Manager, Financial Accounting, this position is responsible for financial instruments, accumulated other comprehensive income (AOCI), and other areas of technical accounting within the Financial Instruments functional area. This role has high interaction with a broad array of corporate and segment management personnel. This position also represents a unique opportunity to help in the provision of accounting expertise, often within a team of other functional experts, on key business initiatives and special projects within the Company.
**Responsibilities :**
Perform accounting and close activities associated with Corporate Financial Instruments, including but not limited to Foreign Exchange, AOCI, Derivative Assets/Liabilities, and Intercompany Loans
Perform analysis and other reporting related to AOCI, Fair Value Measurements, and Derivative Instruments
Analyze and reconcile changes to Invested Capital
Perform testing of SOX and other key controls for the Corporate segment
Support and assist internal customers with inquiries relating to the Corporate Financial Instruments (Cash Flow and Fair Value Hedging)
Perform global support of various International and Domestic treasury operations
Prepare disclosures for quarterly reports including Footnote preparation for 10K, 10Q, etc.
Perform ad hoc projects and routine financial reporting (tax, foreign exchange, capital contributions, etc.)
**Basic Qualifications :**
Minimum experience of 3 years in accounting, auditing or finance preferably with a large multi-national company or large public accounting firm
Demonstrated computer proficiency with Excel
Demonstrated problem solving and continuous improvement skills
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong partnering skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong customer service skills
Ability to handle high volume work in a deadline driven environment
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Demonstrated computer proficiency with SAP
Experience using third party valuation software such as Reval
**Required Education :**
Bachelors of Accounting or Finance
**Preferred Education :**
Masters in Accounting
CPA or equivalent
