Description

The Senior Fleet Professional is responsible for coordinating and providing overall strategic leadership to the Fleet Management team ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, vehicle and workplace regulations. This role manages a fleet of vehicles to include the process of acquiring and dispositioning of vehicles, as well day to day activities such as tracking of maintenance, inventory and anticipated replacement of vehicles. Expansion of our vehicle fleet from approximately 100 vehicles to over 2,000 by the end of 2022 due to the integration of Kindred At Home Home Health fleet vehicles, creation of a Department Of Transportation compliance program, and the creation of a corporate governance structure to handle this growth and effectively harmonize fleet operations across the Humana enterprise.

Responsibilities

Responsible for :


Daily operational lead across fleet program management activities (vehicle ordering, maintenance, fuel mgt., and personal use mgt.)
Manage 3rd party vendor partners, directly owns operational partnership / relationship with external Fleet Management Company (FMC)
Supports vehicle demand planning and forecasting
Responsible for high-cost maintenance approvals
Accountable for personal use payroll year-end calculation
Supports vehicle forecast development
Leverages various technology platforms to create customized fleet performance reports
Ensure all fleet vehicles maintain compliance with all policies and safety standards
Partner with HR to monitor driver eligibility, monitoring driver behavior, ensure safety training requirements are met, etc.
Performs regular financial audits and operational metric reporting to monitor compliance and operational trends.
Manage driver onboarding and document distribution (fuel cards, toll cards, transfer forms, etc.).
Works with FMC and drivers to ensure all vehicles and equipment in the fleet are properly maintained, registered, licensed according to federal, state and location regulations.
Monitor fleet operations cost.
Participate in administrative staff meetings, committees and special projects.
Prepare monthly account and AP related functions with ties to Fleet Operations.
Assist in identifying potential cost savings & avoidance.
Codes billing invoices/statements and resolved billing discrepancies .
Update fleet databases and policy and procedures as needed.
Provide direction, training and guidance to field transportation teams on various initiatives.
Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Partner with various internal teams such as HR, Risk Management, Procurement, Finance, Humana Safety & Security, Legal

Required skills:
Associates degree
Experience with managing a fleet of 500 or more vehicles preferred
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Strong program management skills
Demonstrates ability to take on large complex initiative, must be flexible and have good time management skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and able to prioritize within strict guidelines
Demonstrated problem solving ability while working under pressure
Strong analytical skills, able to analyze & interpret data
Demonstrate good judgement and initiative
Demonstrated work ethic to maintain confidentiality
Demonstrated computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, excel, spreadsheets, etc) experience
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
Required to travel up to 10% based on business need
Preferred skills:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or business-related field
3-5 years administrative/office experience in a professional environment; prefer fleet or transportation related experience
