WHAT WE DO
Pure’s Business Unit Finance plays a critical role in owning end-to-end financial matters. Our team works closely with leaders in our product and engineering teams to help track top-line profitability, prioritize investments, and evaluate returns on investments. The Business Unit Finance team works hard on helping Pure’s Business Units maintain its technological advantage.
SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE...
The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the team. This will be a highly visible role focusing on driving short, and medium-term planning and forecasting of the entire Business Unit’s P&L including capital investments. The role will also involve driving process and system improvements to better automate reporting and forecasting. In addition to partnering and supporting our internal clients within the Business Unit, there will be many opportunities to work with other finance teams and cross-functional teams (accounting, treasury, tax, and other FP&A teams).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cultivate partnerships and collaborate with Central Finance and other cross-functional teams to plan and communicate Business Unit-specific results/ analysis.
Construct business and financial models for key metrics for the business unit including overall P&L results at country and segment levels.
Support our Strategic and Financial planning processes, monthly financial forecasts and provide periodic insights into performance against targets along with variance analysis.
Prepare and report on subscription / SaaS metrics on a monthly/ quarterly basis.
Provide visibility into key performance indicators of a business unit such as bookings trends, R&D spend, profitability, customer buying patterns, and market growth.
Support improvement, and maintenance of financial models through data automation tools, dashboards, and other planning & analysis tools that support key business decisions.
Perform ad hoc analysis including, but not limited to, growth and profitability scenarios, volume and mix analysis and sensitivity analysis across a broad spectrum of variables.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast pace and ambiguous environment, simultaneously manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous process improvements
3-5 Years of progressively complex roles in a financial function with financial planning and analysis experience/understanding.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent
Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and modeling with strong Excel skills
Ability to partner cross-functionally, through strong relationship-building, influencing, negotiating, and communication skills, with all levels of management
Plus Factors
MBA
Former experience in FP&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting
Experience and knowledge in hardware and software markets and industry
Proficiency with Tableau, SQL, and Power Pivot
