Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a*_Mortgage Loan Originator_*for their Financial Services Branch. The right candidate willpromote and provide business development, origination of loans, relationship management with customers and clients. n*Essential Duties and Responsibilities**n*n * Interview mortgage applicants to understand and educate them on their financing options available. Understand the loan applicants goals in order to advise and review potential loan programs that would best suit their needs and stated goalsn * Be accessible to the buyer and individuals involved in a loan to answer questions and/or provide updatesn * Maintain reports and notes within the origination software and customer relationship management systemsn * Review new leads daily and contact them to earn their businessn * Daily Pipeline Management (loan application to funding process) to ensure that the loan process goes smoothly for all parties involvedn * Make presentations on loan products in sales meetings and with Sales staff in builder communitiesn * Quickly respond to Operations in order to facilitate an efficient loan processn * Provide necessary disclosures to a loan applicant within a timely manner in accordance with regulationsn * Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyn * Able to work overtimen * Able to travel overnightn * Market the companys products and services accurately and effectively to potential business sourcesn * Develop sales leads for mortgages in builder communities and real estate officesn * Provide weekend coverage in builder communities and grand opening functionsn * Review all documentation provided by borrower, check for accuracy, and address any discrepanciesn * Be familiar and comply with all company QC policies, review updates to the manual, and attend meetings as necessaryn * Provide input to management, and attend production/staff meetingsn * Infrequently, assist in resolving post-closing/funding problemsn * Attend loan closings when possiblen*Education and/or Experience* n * Bachelor's degree from four-year college or universityn * One to two years of related experience and/or trainingn * Must have a vehicle and a valid drivers licensen * Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by staten * Possess general mortgage banking understanding (including but not limited to: lock procedures, program analysis, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory timelines)n * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsn * Proficiency with MS Office and emailn * Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
