As part of the Strategic Programs and Deal Intelligence team, you are responsible for driving initiatives that leverage business model development and analytic rigor to grow both revenue and margin. This approach will focus on hands-on data analysis as the foundation for the development of actionable information and strategic programs to benefit the enterprise.
The team works on deal-related analytics (including pricing, win rates, competitors, etc.), internal tool development, and strategic program innovation, as well as orchestrating operationalization of those programs. This is a challenging role that requires smoothly bridging the gap between detailed data analysis and enterprise strategic objectives . You will be collaborating with multiple stakeholder teams, such as sales, legal, finance, product business units, etc. in a fast-paced and occasionally ambiguous environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop a strong understanding of Pure’s business model, competitive landscape and product offerings
Understand key business drivers and levers for increasing both top and bottom line growth globally
Query databases directly to generate data sets
Provide in-depth analysis of deals and adjacent topics to a variety of departments
Develop and launch new strategic programs for the enterprise, driving net new revenue and increasing margins
Analyze, develop, and deploy pricing strategies for products and programs
Work independently and jointly with disparate groups
Present findings for leadership review and approval
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
3 years of Product Management, Management Consulting, or Investment Banking experience, MBA preferred
Experience in storage is not required, but a strong aptitude for learning IT infrastructure is important
Intellectual curiosity
Ability to write database queries
Experience in using data to make a persuasive business case
Business-oriented mindset, consistently aligning to strategic objectives
Penchant for solving problems with a strong analytical and critical thinking approach
Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and handle high levels of ambiguity
